Hot Minute

It has been a HOT MINUTE since I have posted anything on this blog.  But I've got some time to kill so what the hell.

Can we just talk about the phrase "hot minute" for a second?  I've used it on a number of occasions, and know that it means "a long time", but why?  "Duuuude, I haven't see you in a hot minute!"
What about a minute's increased temperature  makes it longer?  How long is a cold minute?  A lukewarm one?

Anyway.

I must keep my thoughts brief and say adieu.

To the zero of you reading this blog,

Adieu

Help me help you

"College costs a buttload of money."  -Eleanor Roosevelt

The above statement is no surprise.  Many of us work two or three jobs, all the while balancing an extraordinary amount of schoolwork and extracurricular activities.  And what is it all for?  So we can tell our Facebook friends how hard we are working, right?

Wrong.

We clock in all this insane amount of work so that we can hopefully continue our educational career.  This, in turn, will cost even more money, which means more work, more work, more work.  And where does it all end?

Worry not, friends, I have a solution.  SCHOLARSHIPS, SCHOLARSHIPS, SCHOLARSHIPS.

All you gotta do is click that little blue link and sign up for a free account and you've got a chance to win $500 fat ones.  PLUS, you can set your preferences so you can find even more free scholarships that are fine tuned for your interests.   What are you waiting for?  Go get some free money!

Breakfast Challenge Day 5/6

Yesterday I made 'French Breakfast Puffs'.
Sounds like some weird brand of cereal, but they're actually just cinnamon and sugar muffins.
I couldn't just have them alone, so I cooked up some bacon and eggs to go along with em.

And today, I'm teaming up with my beautiful mother to make 'Banana Bread Coffee Cake'
Wish us luck!

Breakfast Challenge Day 4

Posting late due in part to seeing the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee tonight at DVC.
I saw the understudy show tonight, and it was fantastic.
Go check it out if you haven't already.

But I digress...
I started off the day with an egg and two slices of bacon jammed in between to hot bagel halves.
It was TASTY.

What tomorrow brings, I do not know.

Just as food for thought, check out this family of animals:

Until tomorrow

Breakfast Challenge Day 3

So it looks like the snooze button ultimately won out on Day 3.
A lame excuse, I know.
I settled for a bowl of yogurt with granola.

But tomorrow will be a brighter day!  A new breakfast will be concocted and a non-food picture will be posted.

For now, enjoy this picture of a family of bears fighting against the current of a waterfall.

Pretty amazing, wouldn't you say?

TUNE IN TOMORROW TO FIND OUT WHAT FAMILY OF ANIMALS I'LL BE EATING FOR BREAKFAST.
